honestly i am considering moving this page to my originals section LMAO i feel like all the attention they as a... species? character class? beastie thing? keep getting is making me want to actually round out what the signposts beasts are and how they work outside of 'lol some freak with a metal rod's gonna rock your shit' you know

i really really like this piece it is so incredibly stylistically strong. the angularity of everything already has such great shape language, and the way that different 'chunks' of the image are all their own enclosed shapes is just a deeply pleasing visual effect overall. nitroish's style in general really appeals to me tbh. great stuff. rot went out of rots way to make sure i got at least one attack this year, and was also very considerate of me in general, which i really appreciate on top of everything :-)

i love this piece so much it is SO much fun. the color work is really impressive to me, and i love how whatever big pixel-y brush that's been used gives so much texture as the colors layer over eachother. plus the other character is soooooo cute! gotta love a funny little beastie. Also the first time the eye has been included in an attack, which i like as well. It's kind of funny how these creatures i made up as a timewaster are far and away more popular than my other artfight characters. major support to the 'funny little guy' theory (people will be more likely to draw your artfight if it is a funny little guy). also check out this cute ass sketch of the two. badass

this piece is so much fun! I wasn't really expecting my random model to get any attention, but people seemed to like it. the angularity on the cloth here is really nice, particularly in contrast to how 'soft' looking the edges on metal objects like the two signs are. i love that the sign says WATCH OUT now, especially with the eye added. the blood is also a fun touch :)

i'm still just completely blown away by this piece. like, holy shit. watercolour! watercolour!!! the entire thing really just oozes skills, and the ability to create such a sense of depth and texture... what an incredible piece. big fan of the interpretation of the beastie too, i think it does well with the scraggly line style. beautiful work!

quickly scrounged this piece for artfight, since i felt bad only having one full image of the beastie. turns out, i never rigged that model and (being too lazy to do it now) had to vertex pose the fucker. i'm pretty sure thats like standard practice for non animated models but i pretty much only work with rig posing so. have some sympathy!

this was the first image of the series - i made it just for fun, to play around with 3d and implying something simply (the red cloth on the warning sign - what could that mean?) and i never intended it as a multi part piece.

this guy appeared because i wanted to actually elaborate on what was being implied - the idea was that these creatures can somehow read and use stolen safety signage to trick hunters into making themselves easily visible to be killed.
